Priory Press Packaging kick start 2017 with the highest awarded grade of BRC Certification – BRC GRADE ‘AA’
Priory Press Packaging, a leading carton board packaging printers in Co. Down, are delighted to announce their fantastic result from their BRC audit. The company has been awarded a Double ‘AA’ Grade from their recent BRC (British Retail Consortium) audit. The revised issue version 5 was a comprehensive upgrade of the previous standard. The audit was carried out in December 2016, during the companies busiest period.
British Retail Consortium Certification
The certification body streamlines the supplier approval process. It ensures the standardisation of quality, safety and operational criteria so that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations, providing protection for the end consumer. Priory Press Packaging are committed to putting the highest quality assurances in place. This is to guarantee the end customer receives their packaging knowing it has been manufactured in the safest, quality minded environment.
Priory Press Packaging design and manufacture packaging such as printed food sleeves and retail boxes for the food and drink industry. The company also work with the Health and Beauty, Electronics and Home and Giftware sectors. Priory Press Packaging have experienced significant growth in recent months, and so have invested in equipment to be able to provide services such as window patching now in house. BRC certification is a fundamental requirement for a company to have achieved, in order to be a supplier to leading retailers. Priory Press Packaging are now accredited printers for a number of leading supermarkets across the UK and Ireland.

The company, who continue to celebrate their 40th year in business, conducted a move to larger premises last year. With the introduction of BRC, a Grade A was awarded following their first audit. Over the past year, the company has worked tirelessly to further improve their standards. Therefore, resulting in Priory Press reaching the highest accolade from the certification body – Grade AA. Priory Press Packaging are one of only a few carton board printers and manufacturers in the UK to hold the highest level of certification.
The company has made significant capital investments to sustain and continue its position as a leading carton board packaging printers. Managing Associate, Mark McConville, stated how pleased he was with the result,
